Terms of Service

DossierVert is a software platform for Québec renovation contractors to manage energy-efficiency grant application case files, including under the LogisVert (Hydro-Québec) and RénoClimat (Government of Québec) programs.

The Service allows contractors to create client case files, generate document checklists based on eligible measures, receive documents through a client portal, track a case file's progress with each program, and manage access for multiple users within a company.

To use the Service, a company must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information (company name, email, and RBQ license number where applicable).

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account at the address in section 13.

An account may grant access to multiple users within the same company (“owner” or “member”). The company holding the account is responsible for the actions of every user it authorizes.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not: upload illegal, fraudulent, or misleading content; attempt to access another company's data without authorization; use the Service to harass or harm a third party; or attempt to circumvent the Service's security measures.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and relevance of the information and documents that you or your clients upload to the Service.

As part of using the Service, you may invite your clients to upload documents (proofs of purchase, certificates, proof of ownership, etc.) through a secure portal that requires no account creation.

You remain responsible for obtaining, where required, your clients' consent to the collection and transmission of their personal information through the Service, in accordance with applicable law. Our handling of that information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Access to the Service may be offered under different plans, described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify our plans and their terms, on reasonable notice to affected users.

Should subscription fees be introduced, applicable billing, renewal, and cancellation terms will be communicated to you before any payment is collected.

The Service, including its code, interface, layout, and trademarks, remains the exclusive property of DossierVert. These Terms grant you no ownership interest in the Service, only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

You retain all rights to the documents and information you upload to the Service. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service continuously available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned or unplanned interruptions may occur, including for maintenance or upgrades.

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, in case of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive use, or non-payment of amounts owed, where applicable.

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DossierVert is not responsible for decisions made regarding the eligibility, approval, or payout of grants by third-party organizations (Hydro-Québec, Government of Québec), which remain entirely at those organizations' discretion.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DossierVert's total liability to you, for any cause whatsoever, will not exceed the amounts you paid for use of the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Québec where DossierVert operates.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Any material change will be communicated to you by email or through a notice displayed in the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of them.
